How I Took the Driving Tests

This Fri­day, my whole fam­i­ly cel­e­brat­ed my suc­cess­ful com­ple­tion of the road test and the receipt of my driver’s license. To be pre­cise, they only issued me a paper con­firm­ing my suc­cess­ful com­ple­tion of the test, and the actu­al license will arrive by mail with­in ten days.

Trip to Mexico

At the end of last week, we went to Mex­i­co. Our friends rent­ed a house on the coast for a week dur­ing their chil­dren’s vaca­tion and invit­ed us for the week­end. It’s the same house in the same place in Puer­to Peñas­co where we were the year before last.

Snow

Pho­tos about the caprices of the local weath­er. This win­ter has been cold (by Ari­zona stan­dards). At the end of Feb­ru­ary, on the 21st, it even snowed. How­ev­er, it didn’t snow every­where. In our part of the city, there was no snow; it only lay on the moun­tain tops.

Massachusetts

On the first day of our stay, we were tak­en on a trip to a near­by farm to pick apples and pears. The weath­er was won­der­ful; it was a warm autumn day. There were many school bus­es at the farm filled with young children.

About Adaptation

When I first arrived, I looked at every­thing with wide-open eyes. Now, I’ve grown used to the every­day things. But still, the adap­ta­tion process is end­less for some­one born and raised in anoth­er country.

About Various Topics

It’s very rare to see chil­dren of the same age as Mark walk­ing alone on the street. Kids are brought to school an hour before class­es start, and they social­ize. They inter­act when they are picked up after school.
